Next Week

First off, I want to thank everyone for the support I've felt this past month as I've tried to process my sister's death. I realize reading my personal drama wasn't what most of you signed up for, and I apologize for hijacking my blog's original purpose.
I promise next week, I'll get back to normal posts.

  1. This blog is about your journey. All journeys take unexpected turns and detours. Don't apologize for that. We're along for the ride, bumps and all.

  2. I wish you wouldn't apologize. You are very human and honest. I really like that, and that's why I come here. In your exploration of your complicated thoughts and feelings after your sister's tragic passing, we see an opportunity to reflect on our own challenges, troubles and complicated feelings about family. You are helping your readers process through their own challenges by sharing yours. My therapist doesn't apologize at the end of every session, and, if you're feeling that you're coming to a close with this difficult issue for now, then neither should you. Keep sharing. We'll keep reading.

  3. What they said. I don't think it's in your best interests to try and force your blog into a box walled by "should". Part of this journey is allowing your self to be without imposed constraints, why 'should' you self impose now?

  4. And, remember Julia Child didn't hit her stride until after age 50. She published "The Art of French Cooking" at 52 and didn't air "The French Chef" until she was nearly 60. You have plenty of good years in you to do whatever awesome things you're dreaming of. Don't lose hope when life doesn't do as planned. I'm sure you'll get where you're wanting to go.

  5. Thank you, everyone, for your continued supports, prayers, and good thoughts. It has been tremendously helpful in this really, really crappy time.
